What is language level A2?

  • A pupil understands simple sentences and frequently used words about everyday things and can talk about familiar topics in everyday situations.
  • He or she can describe things in his or her immediate environment in simple terms
  • Pupils use mainly high frequency words and simple sentences, often standard sentences
  • The texts are short
  • An A2 level language user knows up to 2000 words.

  • Previous language knowledge of level A1

  • Willingness to learn something new
  • Exercise discipline independently

Listen

  • Understanding individual sentences with frequently used words
  • Understand simple information about people, family, work, local area and shopping.
  • Understanding the essence of simple, short and clear announcements

How long does it take to reach the A2 language level?

  • Duration is on average 120 to 180 lessons

What happens after an A2 language course?

After successfully completing level A2, language learners have various options for continuing:

  • Advanced language course at level B1
  • Continuing language course to consolidate A2 language skills or to repeat difficult topics
  • Registration to a recognized language exam to have your A2 language skills officially certified
  • Apply the acquired A2 language skills in everyday life

It is highly recommended to continue with a B1 language course in order to expand your language skills and consolidate what you have learned so far.
