French exams - CCIP (TEF & DFP etc.)
Here you will find an overview of all French language exams that we offer in cooperation with the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Paris (CCIP).
The exams cover different language levels and objectives - depending on whether you need an official language certificate for naturalization, studies, work or migration to Canada.
TEF Canada
What is the TEF Canada?
The Test d'Évaluation de Français pour le Canada (TEF Canada) is an officially recognized language test that is required as part of the immigration process to Canada (e.g. Express Entry, Québec Skilled Worker Program).
Target group:
Persons applying for permanent residence or citizenship in Canada.
Examination contents:
- Listening comprehension
- Reading comprehension
- Written expression
- Oral expression
Procedure:
The test is completely digital.
It can be booked on a modular basis - depending on the requirements of your process.
Duration:
approx. 2.5 to 3 hours

TEF Intégration, Résidence et Nationalité (TEF IRN)
What is the TEF IRN?
The TEF IRN is a language test recognized by the French state for applying for French citizenship, a residence permit or for integration.
Target group:
Persons who wish to settle or become naturalized in France.
Examination contents:
- Listening comprehension
- Reading comprehension
- Oral expression
- Written expression
(Level A2 is required for right of residence, B1 for naturalization)
Procedure:
The test is carried out digitally on the computer.
Duration:
approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

TEF Études
What is the TEF Études?
The TEF Études serves as official proof of your French language skills when applying to a French-speaking university or college (e.g. in France, Belgium, Canada).
Target group:
Prospective students, exchange students, international applicants
Examination contents:
- Listening comprehension
- Reading comprehension
- Written expression
- Oral expression
Procedure:
The test is carried out digitally at the test center.
Duration:
approx. 3 hours

DFP - Diplôme de Français Professionnel
The DFP exams are job-related French certificates from the CCIP and are aimed at professionals in various sectors. They certify practical language skills for everyday working life.
1. DFP Business
Target group:
Employees, managers, students in the commercial sector
Contents:
- Business correspondence (e-mails, letters)
- Telephone calls
- Presentations and meetings
Levels:
B1, B2, C1
Procedure:
Digital or paper, depending on the examination center

2. DFP Tourisme
Target group:
Specialists and trainees in tourism and the hotel industry
