In our globally interconnected world, it is almost a matter of course to speak several languages. Anyone who speaks only one language in today's age is quickly considered old-fashioned. Why it is so important to know several languages was already recognised by great thinkers before our time. A quote by Ludwig von Wittgenstein underlines this particular importance:

"The limits of my language mean the limits of my world."

Languages are an essential part of our intellectual horizon. Those who know many languages can develop intellectually. But understanding foreign languages also increases acceptance and openness towards other people and cultures. Languages build valuable bridges to get to know the unknown and make the unfamiliar familiar. Those who speak several languages automatically meet more people from different regions of the world and become familiar with their customs, traditions and religions. This can lead to intercultural friendships and relationships - the world becomes interconnected and humanity can move closer together.

But languages also bring individual economic benefits. Anyone who speaks several languages is considered educated in the world of work and business and thus represents a valuable workforce. Language skills can even open new doors: A new job or studying in another country can help you advance professionally and personally.

At the International Language School we live this enthusiasm for languages. Fast, efficient and practice-oriented language learning is our vision. Our wide range of courses extends from super-intensive to evening and Saturday courses and is accompanied by a variety of extracurricular activities. You can learn 10 different languages at ILS in small groups of max. 6 students or in private lessons. Convince yourself of our offer during a free and non-binding trial lesson!
